My 3daysofdesign 2026 Edit
19 exhibitions, installations, independent shows, and parties to have on your radar.
Note: this post is longggg, open in your browser for the good stuff.
For at least the last six years, it’s been on my mental vision board to spend a summer in Copenhagen. I’ll admit, six years ago, I hadn’t even been to Copenhagen, but I just knew it would be the place for me, sold almost exclusively by GANNI campaigns and HAY party photos.
In 2022, I planned a Thingtesting company offsite in the city, and it felt like finally unlocking a door to part of myself that I always had the key to but couldn’t access. I was hooked, just as I expected, and have continued to come for a week every summer since.
As it turns out, if you tell enough people your dream, one day, eventually, a month-long sublet will come to you. That’s how I ended up writing this from an apartment outfitted in FRAMA furniture, Magniberg bedding, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and Tekla towels–aka a Danish design dreamland.
3daysofdesign just became 30daysofdesign, and I’m absolutely thrilled about it.
The best part about returning to Copenhagen over the years has been meeting talented designers, founders, writers, and other Copenhagen-based creatives, many of whom have become close friends. And it’s been especially useful in putting together this guide because not everything worth seeing is on the official calendar!!
Whether you’re heading to Copenhagen next week or simply curious about what’s happening in design right now, what follows is a mix of new launches, independent shows, and a few parties.
Let’s get into it.
other circle

When my sweet friends Peter and Bre (amazing designers!) tipped me off to other circle after last year’s inaugural show, I was immediately tuned in. In its second edition, the independent fair “explores and redefines contemporary design culture, [bringing] together art, design, fashion, food, and music…” I was very happy to see designers I know and love like JOY OBJECTS and Emma Clarke, Holder, and WASTED, alongside a bunch of names I’m excited to explore for the first time.
The team also let me know there’s a party on Thursday night, and it’s the more the merrier.

This year, it enters a bathing scene, bringing together 16 designers from Denmark, Finland, Korea, Japan, Canada, and the UK, each translating their own routines and cultural contexts into a perfect pair. aarticles

I don’t know everything, but I knew when my friends Kasia and Fred first told me about aarticles, the gallery (but also archive and marketplace) they launched last year, that it would be special. Their exhibition, Compositions, brings objects from successive collections forward into the company of newer works. Helle Meredahl
I’m trying to cultivate more whimsy, and every time I see Helle Meredahl’s work, it reminds me of such. At her showroom, the brand presents Game On, a lighting installation.

Address: Bredgade 17, Copenhagen
RSVP: Walk-ins welcome.

David Chipperfield for Reform
One of my earliest TikToks was about Reform’s kitchen designs. I’m always dreaming of a Reform REFLECT kitchen, and I’m always wanting to go to their parties. So naturally, I am also very tuned in to seeing the unveiling of their David Chipperfield collaboration (and what they will serve at their party).

There’s a lot of hi-fi talk these days, but let’s put some respect on B&O’s name. The brand celebrates 100 years with an immersive exhibition inside a historic Copenhagen residence.

RYE
I’ll admit, RYE is new to me, but I’ve already looked into how I might ship one of their beds to my new apartment in NY. At the Threshold of Rest temporarily transforms a parking garage in central Copenhagen, where five handmade beds are placed within individual vignette rooms.

Fredericia

Fredericia reintroduces Nanna Ditzel’s 1962 Trisse Collection. I love that the collection was originally developed from a brief for a children’s object, encouraging play and discovery vs furniture with a fixed purpose. Fredericia’s showroom will host Trisse Café, and transition into Trisse Bar on Wednesday evening.

Address: Løvstræde 1, 1152 København

Bankston x FOR SCALE
BANKSTON and FOR SCALE are on a design-world tour of their own. After teaming up in New York last month, they present HOW TO HANDLE, alongside video by Matthew Donaldson, and spatial design, furniture, and graphics by Currie Ritchie, Caleb Engstrom, and Lowrie. In David’s words, which I very much like, it’s “an ode to the very real ability of door handles and knobs to get you out of bad parties, or into open open skies, or to hide away that which you don’t want to be seen.”

Address: Gammel Mønt 2
RSVP: Opening Party RSVP
Magniberg
Sleep is always on my mind, as is Magniberg’s campaigns — particularly this one. The brand opens its new studio during 3daysofdesign. Might finally buy a bedding set by the end of the month.

What did I miss? Let me know in the comments what’s on your radar for the week! And if there’s anyone you think I should meet, shops I should shop, meals I should eat, places I should wander, etc., during my 30DaysofDesign, I’d be delighted to hear from you on that too.

Don’t miss visiting us at Normann Copenhagen, we would love to see you.
Love this guide! Quite a few of these are on my must-see too, so maybe our paths will cross! I recommend AND Lights opening party and their new 3 level showroom.
